Changing of the Guard

It’s a new year and we’ve got some exciting changes happening around here: In April 2008 Jared Megleo officially became the new president and owner of Industrial Modern Pattern & Mold, making him a third generation prototyper. The grandson and son of former owners Louis Megleo and Louis Daniel, respectively, Jared has been working in the shop consistently since 1999, not only learning the trade from his father but also expanding the shop's capabilities and areas of expertise. Jared has witnessed the changes the industry has made over the past decade and has made it his mission to structure the shop accordingly and maintain Industrial Modern's position as one of the leaders in the industry. One of the areas Jared is most proud of is the shop's exceptional work with Epoxy Molds. He has improved the process tenfold over the past few years, forcing many clients and competitors to ask “What’s your secret?” The secret is: attention to detail. Not only recognizing what needs to be done to complete a project but also realizing what cannot be done. Jared prides himself on honesty and integrity, making sure to never take on a project he has his doubts about completing. Being a small, family-owned business has its benefits but also carries many burdens -- Jared views the shop not only as a job but also his livelihood. He knows that one failed project, one dissatisfied customer, could cause him to lose countless future jobs and clients. That line of thinking is what has allowed him to succeed where countless others have failed, in the area of short run production tooling, utilizing Epoxy Molds. Taking over for a father that made many advancements in the industry is never easy but Jared is proud to usher in a new era of prototyping and is excited about the future and Industrial Modern's place in it.
